^^ Seems you talk about the Demoserver from FPRS, not mine.

We had UF1@FE6 for the first week and changed to XFG@AS1

on saturday evening, so may be you should give it a try.

Thanks for that, hoping there will be more and more racers coming up to have

a test on. Pretty sure some of them will stay, lets say they come from time

to time to have short and funny races. Btw, lapper is working since a

couple of days too.

Hello gents, since last night my Crashserver is running, points sytem and

rankings already working, lapper will be added soon too. I know it sounds

crazy but give it a try, even serious racers like it sometimes. Anyhow

its a great fun to do this, hope to see some of you there, cheers P V L

I cannot remember any game before that was worth the price

more than LFS, 36.-€ gave me more than 360 000 km of fun

in 2 years and trust me, there were a lot of cruiser-km in.

May be Pc is only a problem if you want to play latest games released.

I was a PS man all the time until 2005 when I bought a cheap Pc for

just doing e-mails and to surf in the www. And guess what, I still use

this old stuff, took some little upgrades, ok, but it is running LFS in

1920x1080 on almost full details.Athlon 2800+ with 1gb ram is not a

high ender, is it??? Grafix is a bit better, bought it instead of a new pc

when the old one crashed, radeon 3650. Better took a G25 for that

money and a 37" philips lcd-full hd-tv in september, (being prepared to the

future when GT5 and a PS III will be available) works nice with LFS so far.

All in all I did not spend much money on that counted on three years, imo.

Really great movie, very nice job done.

btw, reminds me to watch your "why I play" video

again after long time, still wonderful.

All DFP wheels will work on PC too as said before.

I had one before my G25 ( which is worth to save for imo)

Just dl the logitech profiler.

For me LFS is a driving simulator, no matter you are racing or cruising, even

drifting is allowed if asking me. Insim is nice stuff and all possible to do with

should be accepted and respected, no matter you like it or not.

I like to have a look at the endless database of CTRA but on the other hand I

like to cruise on CLC too as well. Insim is a big advantage of LFS imo.

Just accept how the developers handle this. If anything is annoying

think about it, is it worth leaving LFS ? Yes ? So leave for a time you

choose yourself. No ? So stay and take it with patience as I do.

Btw, if anybody of you wants me to tell you how to do your jobs

feel free to contact me.

Happy to tell you G25 has no plastic pedals , they are made of steel and

imo will not break before wheel or shifter does so.

Overall for what you get the G25 is not expensive. Taking a look at prices of

parts for getting this done by yourself as for example VPP pedals will end at

least at about three times the price of the G25. I think the pedals are good

enough for racing, no need to upgrade, there are better ways to spend your

money. But before thinking to buy a G25 may be first you should buy S2.

EDIT: Here you can see pedals and their price, seems it ends at more then 3

times G25

Quote from S14 DRIFT :As I said, cruising may be 'fun' to some of you (hate to generalise but it tends to be people who can't actually race)

May be there is a reason why I said in my post before "cruiser AND racer"

Just taking a look at ctra stats should show you its a big mistake thinking

that way. And to show my point of view, I cannot understand what

drifters find so funny but would never tell them, just let them have their

own way to get most out of LFS.

Quote from G!NhO :i agree with you......its fun (sometimes) but a waste of time

Could not be 1 % waste of time than reading may be 95 % of your posts.

No matter you have nothing to say, just racing for postcount as it seems to

me.Never thought about using a ignore option but you bring me very close to.

Back to topic: So I am a racer AND a cruiser I can say both is fun at its time.

CTRA racing is really exciting and hard work at many times.

Cruising at CLC is relaxing, cooldown and just having many ways to act,

depending on the mood you are. Having cruises with trains of at least 4-5

cars or having some nice chases with cops (or as cops ).Trying to get

people flipped back on wheels after crashs, getting them safe back to pits

then, so many ways to have fun.

Asking me there are only 2 ways to shift on a G25. First , used in races,

is sequential by using paddles behind wheel. Second is to use H-shifter and

clutch what I enjoy really on CLC (a cruise server) But what I never use

is sequential mode on H-shifter.

Quote from ColeusRattus :Also, if you have a Bronze License, the CTRA Baby UFR server is great fun, if you manage to catch it with a few racers on.

This was looong ago, since at least 4-5 month its free for copper as I told on

different places a couple of times before. So instead of spectating

a full grid in race 1 just join Baby-UFR and have lots of fun.

To speak for germans it is within a couple of minutes free after telling them

buying a S2. I bought a couple of them for friends living in countries

where this is not as easy as here. @ Troy, one of them was for a swiss

guy. But best idea seems to be using paysafecards for most of people

as it works instant too afaik.

Quote from only.one.RydeR :I think (OK, this is what I hear from S2ers) that people are getting tired of the same config of the tracks (e.g. BL1+FBM). 7 corners and a really long straight just doesn't cut it for me. Maybe modify it a bit?

OK, someone said it before. There are ~ 800 different combos to go, most

people including myself did only may be 50 really more than a couple of laps.

For your BL1+FBM problem, do not forget you are in a demo version, full free.

Have you ever thought about buying a S2 ? To be honest this is the idea

behind a demo, getting new people to try and if they like it they buy it.

See, thats your major mistake. I would say you need more skills for slower

cars touching the limits. Good example is again the baby-ufr, it has only

80 hp which means every little mistake will follow you until the end of the

next long straight.

Guys, do not buy seats like that, better build yourself.

And for the graphics card , on my old pc (Athlon 2800+, 1 gb ram)

LFS is running very well in full-hd on a 37" philips lcd-tv with a 3650
